On January 27, Colby got eye surgery. We had to get up super early and he couldnt eat anything before the surgery. Luckily it was early enough, he didnt complain too much. These pictures are him before the surgery. He was so brave, I was so proud of him. The surgery went pretty fast, it only took an hour and a half. Than we went back in recovery with him where we had to wait for him to drink something and be able to keep it down, so after about an hour or so we finally got him to drink something, and a few minutes later he threw it up, so they had to give him some kind of medicine through his IV, and a few minutes later we had him drink some more juice and he was able to keep it down. So we were able to go home. The recovery was the worst part. He was in pain and he wasn't able to open his eyes for about 24 hours. Not fun. Later Colby told me that while they were trying to put him to sleep, he started kicking and screaming. That made me soo sad to hear him say that, I wish I could have been in there to comfort him :(.
Today (March 15) his eyes look sooo much better. We have had one follow up appointment, and his eyes were still not completely strait, but they were sooo much better and his eye sight was already better, we will have another follow up in a little over a week and we will know better than what the outcome is.

Oh my dear nephew! That would be hard to know he was in there kicking and screaming, but harder to actually be in there and not be able to do anything for him! He is such a cute boy! I love my nephew!
